Venue

T-DOSE will be held at Fontys Hogescholen Eindhoven, in the Netherlands. The visiting address is:

The location is near the central train station in Eindhoven, and accross the street from the Technical University Eindhoven (TU/e). The Fontys Terrain has several buildings, numbered R1 to R8. T-DOSE will be held in building R5.

Travelling

Train

Fontys Eindhoven is near the central train station in Eindhoven. Walking from the central train station in Eindhoven to Fontys takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Leave the station from the north side, where the bus stops are. Walk along the east side of the 'Rabobank' building on the J. F. Kennedylaan. After approximately 600 metres, you will see Fontys on your left.

There will be parking space available at the Fontys terrain.

Due to the Eindhoven Marathon several roads into town will be closed off on Sunday 14.Oct until late afternoon. Check the site for details. A better map indicating the circuit and passages is available here as pdf.

From Tilburg, take the A58 in the direction of 'Eindhoven'. At the 'Batadorp' junction, continue in the direction of 'Randweg/Centrum' until the end of the motorway. Turn right into 'J. F. Kennedylaan' and continue in the direction of 'Centrum'. At the large intersection after approximately 5 kilometres, turn right immediately after the traffic lights to reach Fontys.

From 's-Hertogenbosch, take the A2 in the direction of 'Eindhoven'. At the 'Ekkersweijer' junction, take the A58 in the direction of 'Randweg/Centrum' until the end of the motorway. Turn right into 'J. F. Kennedylaan' and continue in the direction of 'Centrum'. At the large intersection after approximately 5 kilometres, turn right immediately after the traffic lights to reach Fontys.

From Nijmegen, take the A50 in the direction of 'Eindhoven'. In 'Eindhoven', straight ahead 'J. F. Kennedylaan' and continue in the direction of 'Centrum'. At the large intersection after approximately 5 kilometres, turn right immediately after the traffic lights to reach Fontys.

From Helmond, take the A270/N270 in the direction of 'Eindhoven'. At the roundabout, turn right into the 'Ring' in the direction of 'Nijmegen'. At the fourth set of traffic lights, turn left into 'Montgomerylaan' and then take the next left turn into 'Rachelsmolen'. At the end of the road, turn left to reach the Fontys parking area.

From Maastricht, take the A2, from Venlo, take the A67 and from Antwerpen, take the A67, in the direction of 'Eindhoven'. At the 'Leenderheide' junction, follow in the direction of 'Centrum/Tongelre'. At the next roundabout, continue straight ahead in the direction of 'Centrum/Tongelre'. At the second set of traffic lights, turn right into the 'Ring' in the direction of 'Helmond/Nijmegen'. Continue under the viaduct and straight ahead at the next roundabout. At the fourth set of traffic lights, turn left into 'Montgomerylaan' and then take the next left turn into 'Rachelsmolen'. At the end of the road, turn left to reach the Fontys parking area.

Airplane

Eindhoven Airport is an airport with some international destinations, just 5 kilometers outside the city. There are flights with KLM Cityhopper to London Heathow, and Ryanair serves London Stansted airport, Dublin, Rome, Milan, Pisa, Barcelona, Marseille and Glasgow. Air France also has 3 return from Paris to Eindhoven on weekdays.

Note that the T-DOSE weekend is also the weekend of the Eindhoven Marathon (Sunday 14.Oct). It is probably wise to book your accomodation in advance and not leave it till the last minute. Also on Sunday many roads into town will be closed off until late afternoon. Trains will not be affected and the event location is near the railway station.

A list of hotels can be found on booking.com. http://www.vvveindhoven.nl/en also has a list of hotels and Bed & Breakfasts. I don't know of any youth hostel ('jeugdherberg') in Eindhoven, but their are several nearby (Veldhoven, Asten, Oirschot, Valkenswaard). Also most campings in the area will still be open in October.
